Universal rear paddock stand
As the title, that will fit an SVS K3 as well as most other bikes.
Whats a good one? Do the £20 ones have any massive down falls over £40/£60 ones? Do ABBA stands do a universal one? can you put a bike on it alone? (I know its not a rear stand) Cheers |

Re: Universal rear paddock stand
Hiya, I just went into J&S in birmingham and they have some univeral cup ones for 24.95 ,Does the job great and helped me no end yesterday when I had to get the wheel off , have a new valve fitted and then replace the wheel....easy to put together too...the stand I mean,, not the wheel.

Re: Universal rear paddock stand
Get bobbins for the swingarm and get the right type of stand. I bought the cheap 2 for £50 and they are fine for most bikes. A lot less hassle than the cups, especially if you get a bike that has a low slung torque arm and no place for bobbins (nightmare:( )
I also have a beefy Micron cup job that has served me well for years and is sturdy for any heavy bikes. The cheapys you can see bending. :) |
Re: Universal rear paddock stand
I got my paddock stands FOR FREE at the Birmingham Motorcycle Show.
Bought Tuzo leathers for £129, only to discover that I am also getting the stands. Here is the rear one (don't know what make it is): http://www.homepages.ucl.ac.uk/~ucah...dock_stand.jpg I use the rear paddock stand regularly. As to the front one I decided not to tempt fate and never use it. |
Re: Universal rear paddock stand
'cup' front and rear paddock stands are the hardest to use!!
I advocate 'bobbin' rear stands and 'bottom yoke' front stands ... anything else to my mind is a waste of money (except ABBA pro etc). |
