Though howver the backyard is a jungle we need several trees cutting down, and removed ect. I'm up in the harrow area, can anyone suggest a guy or company to do this.

If you are renting then thats a job (and cost) for your Landlord.

Dont do work without going through them, EVER.

I am renting dude, however everyone here is lazy including him. So if I do the ground work, it means it will get done. Don't worry this isn't coming out of my pockect. (i had a go at him and told him to fix the place up or I was going, guess we have new stuff on the way)

I have manage to sort this place by getting the garage cleared for bike, I still have some junk to throw out but i'm nearly done!

It just winds me up seeing the state of the garden, I will relax a bit more when everything is done.

+1

Never do anything without their consent as it can come back and bite you in the bum, especially when the time comes to return your deposit.

Landlords can be a complete git....get everything on paper (don't rely on verbal agreements) to leave a trail which comes in handy when you're taking them to court.....something which I'm in the process of doing after leaving my old house :smt099 .

Get the landlord's permission to chop em down - in writing. No permission = don't do the work. And if the landlord does get permission, check that the trees aren't protected - call the tree person at the local council. Chopping or lopping a protected tree without the council's permission is an offence.
