My Weekend's Injury - If squeemish don't look in.

So this weekend I took the SV out for a nice run, went Kayaking and did some DIY - so what was it that caused me to have 5 stitches in my hand?

Give up?

Washing up a Tesco glass in tepid water, it then exploded into my hand going nice and deep and allowing me to see my tendons and the inside of my hand - quite cool!

I was home alone, so had to turn off PC/TV/Oven, turn off lights and then drive myself to casualty - this was after making a tourniquet out of a pair of pants (only thing I could find as the girlfriend has washed the teatowels and hidden them.) which i then covered with a damp tea towel from the washing line.

Quite funny in retrospect, but this is the second of these glasses that has broken - think it is the wierd design and manufacturing problem - have emailed tesco to let them know.

Only one person at work has taken the p*** so far.

No washing up for 10 days (woohoo), but have to wear a plastic bag on my hand in the shower, and generally have to try and do more with my left hand.

Oh well - thought that might cheer up a dull monday:cool:

Both 'cool' and 'owww' spring to mind!

Weirdly, looking at that kind of stuff doesn't bother me but stick any politician on the telly and they make so nauseous.

Trace :)

Cheers guys for comments - was wierd having to sort myself out having done loads of first aid to others in the past. Is fine - just a bit of a pain, especially when trying to get to sleep.

Yuck, I always suspected that doing the washing up was a bad idea.

That looks nasty, but the positive is this. If you sit on your other hand for long enough, it feels like someone else is doing it! :smt102

Hope that you heal quickly, that plastic bag thing in the shower is really irritating isn't it? Mind you it is no where nearly as bad as a full rubber cat suit so think yourself lucky...:-({|=

Oh Ian, do you actually have a girlfriend, remember cardboard cut outs don't really count? :smt043:smt075
