Anyone no, (know), off, (of), any other throttle tubes that fit the 03+ sv650?
 

I need a new throttle tube and was wondering just before i get one is ther any other ones that fit 100% and that will either be the same as the orignal pointy one or better?

I know that some people have put an R6 throttle tube on the SV's before, However have you though about a quick action one? I have one on the track bike.

A throttle tube from a Yamaha r6 is the way to go, it'll fit no problem and it has a shorter action so you don't need to twist the throttle so far to get it to the stop.

It's gonna be my next planned mod to my sv after my Beowulf exhaust (fitting the exhaust today - eeep!)

I believe it's a throttle tube for an 03 - 05 r6 you need, the part number for it is on this forum somewhere too

is the the R6 ones not only for the curvy??? or do they fit the pointy holder aswell???

i dont really think thers any need at all for a Q/A throttle or i would just stick one on it but just dont see any need for it.

i thought it was only for the curvy? (not sure though)

it is a ggod mod to do, and only costs about a tenner

aye think it is for the curvy my self but if it dose fit then il go for one but ive only herd of it being done 2 the curvys and they are a different set up 2 the pointy as the switch gear is all one part.

Yeap for the Curvy, a quick mod to it will allow it to work on the Pointy too.

it involves cutting a bit of the plastic bit off
