which ground anchor?

looking for a ground anchor for my bike, looked around and alot seem to be for about £50 which is within my budget, any views on anchors that people have?

i have an abus granite-o-chain that will be used to chain the bike to it, and getting a xena xr1 as they are cheap on M&P atm 20 seems like a steal to me

thanks in advance

I got the Oxford Rotaforce cemenet in anchor. £35. Easy to install and not had bike nicked yet (touch wood).

....blows your budget by 50%, but its an absolute beast. No more sleepless nights for me.

I went to a local concrete reinforcing company and got a 1 meter piece of 50mm diameter re-bar bent into a U shape. Dig a hole, add conctere, shove the bar in and voila! The top of the bend in level with the floor, scoop out each side to allow chain access. Impossible to cut when the bike is on top of it. Cost me £3 for a bag of concrete!

I've used ones like these, all you want to care about is that they are harder to cut than the chain (which is relatively easy as ground anchors tend to be thicker/chunkier than chain links).

If I thought it necessary, I have a CG125 and an NSR125 in the garage I could chain the Zed to.......

I've got the Colossus ground anchor set into concrete. It's a flush fit, so you can't trip over it. I got mine from Peak Motorcycle Security (highly recommended), who came down from Leicester to London to fit it, though you might be able to fit it yourself.

Take a look at these:

I recycled a ferry lashing ring, welded it into a steel box and sunk it into 8 inches of concrete that makes up my shed base.
