New Bike New Bike

Howdy All ....

well i am afraid to say that i have left the fold a little - my new stead is .....(drum roll Drum Roll)

An Aprilia SL 1000 Falco !!!!! :smt049:smt049:smt049

What can i say - sorry all - well at least i stuck with a twin - because as we all know - Twins are much more fun (especially blon..... eh-hum - U rated Forum Michael.... U Rated Forum)

So - i will endeavor to get some pics up soon - she's a looker.

The nickname i have given her is the Balrog - not very Feminine ladylike sexy etc. etc. but you'll understand #1) if you have ever seen LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring and #2) should you ever hear it LOL

So why a Falco - well up to 3-weeks ago i have never heard of one - a mate pointed out their existence to me (Cheers Andy [REDK1]) and having read the Greeks run-down of the Falco how could i resist....

And What a bargain-ous buy too £3.1K for a 2003 plate with 8K miles (on the nose) Twin Carbon Devil Racers (that do their best to re-arrange my innards every time i start her), Penske Rear Shock, Chipped, Modded AirBox (for even more noise LOL) and apparently there are also some Stiffer springs in the forks - don't know what yet - but i guess it won't take much to find out ....:cool:

All in all i am very VERY excited about this bike -

and yes i KNOW this Thread is useless without pics - so gimme a few and i shall hopefully provide some eye-candy

TTFN

Oh you sod, I want one of them! I was in the same position as you, I hadn't really seen one in the flesh until a month ago, but then I saw and heard one at a bike night and they are awesome! And so cheap too. As you said, £3K for one with low miles, and extras, or down to £1600 for high miles bog standard! What is your insurance quote if you don't mind me asking? Mine was £900 fully comp, £360 TPFT. I am so tempted, gis a go!

I can do Tuesday - will grab my buddy Andy too (RedK1) on the forum as he live in Oxford

Insurance - i topped up my policy for the remainder of the year in full - cost me an additional £290 until end of October ontop of the £250 i have already paid for the SV... so in truth .... i have no idea

i suspect it will be in the £1k region - only been riding since October so i suspect that has a lot to do with the cost LOL
