Ecuyers (France)

Nice track for a SV650! Had a lot of fun, eating the supersports for breakfast and dinner!

There were 4 groups, on sunday I was in the 2e fastest group and monday the fastest.

Ecuyers is a very technical track with a lot of curves and only one straight line. I did the whole track in 3rd gear except the straight. So ectualy you don't need a lot of bhp's to be quick, only a good leaning angle... ;)

The times varied from 2:30 (first time on track) to 1:51 (experts) and I did a 1:59. :D Most of them didn't get over the 2 min.

Looks like you were having fun there, where abouts in France is it (region or nearby large town)?

The circuit des Ecuyers is basically in the middle of nowhere near the village of Beuvardes. Not that far from Chateau-Thierry. About 2/3 of the way between Paris and Reims.

It is indeed a great track, but not easy. It has many corners, both left and right handers so it takes some time to memorize. To make it even harder many corners are blind and off-camber.
Definitely one of my favourite tracks. :D
Unfortunately it is not on the schedule for any of my remaining track days this year.

I'll add it to the list for next year then when I return to living on the continent.

I love the way the clipons on the naked make you look proper inside the bike! Lovely technique. :D
