Are all classics bouncy around corners?

I've had a dream of having some form of classic cafe racer for a while, to slow down for summer evenings, pootle about and generally relax on. However I followed one classic bike the other day (not sure what type, but I'd guess from the 50's-60's) and it was bouncing about an awful lot (at less than 50% the speed I'd go round the same corner on the SV).

Now I know classics don't corner like a modern bike, but I want some fun, so is my dream shattered, or can some old bikes go round corners ok (and ok is all I'll want)?

Any bike can bounce around a corner, but no not all classics Tim.

You could always buy yourself a new Royal Enfield. Have a new old bike, with spares.

They're a tad slow, but apparently good fun if you like that sort of thing. Don't know if they bounce around corners, but I'm sure you could dial the suspension in to allow it.

My rear shock sucks... when i get on the power hard on a slighly bumpy corner the back can wollow around a lot. Going to fix that.

Id imagine most of its down to setup/age of bits.

Yeah, I heard those Falcos are set up really badly and age really quickly ;)

I'd want a proper classic, Laverda Jota,Old bevel drive Ducati 900ss, Guzzi cafe racer, triumph, norton, triton etc......

damn it even you now... It was Aprilia being cheap gits. its the only weak link. They bought cheap crappy Sach's shocks. :(

its the only thing that reviewers have picked up on thats not upto the same level as the rest of the bike...

Just get a (royal) Enfield Bullet 500 with front Disc conversion

No, need something more special and individual than an enfield.

I would have thought anything with the Norton Featherbed frame is going to handle OK, it'll still be sh*te compared to a modern bike though...

And an SRX600 is a new bike isn't it?

I want at least as old as me, if not older!
