Well, it's only been a couple of months so far...

Just the electrics to wire up and she's good to go...

nope, as mad as it sounds you don't require any lights to be road legal - the only legal requirement is a horn that produces a constant tone

however i will be installing a brake light as a minimum, as i ride with a big guy who has a 950SM, and the last thing either of us needs is him collecting me when i brake too early for a corner, plus the blind elderly island drivers would get confused and run me over:rolleyes:

If you have a brake light on your bike, the police will expect you to have headlights if they want to be picky.

Its all or none. But I'm sure mostcoppers wouldn't worry about it.

yeah, i know this, but the island coppers are generally very sensible about bikes, provided you're not doing silly things in the middle of town - i will be ordering a headlamp unit this week, if only to blend in with the crowd better;)

Could I come and have a go once it's done? Or on the DRZ? I'm not picky! :)

Seriously though, one day I WILL have a supermoto, and the world will be a better place... =D

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I'm sure you do not require a headlight as long as the bike is registered for daylight use only.
