Stock Exhaust Valuation Request

So, after my off the bike is in the garage getting put back to normal, which involves a new exhaust what with mine being ruined as it went over on it.

Now, I have though (someone got me thinking), I could just take that exhaust straight off and put a nice one on, selling the stock one as brand new/3 miles on it.

How much would you expect a new stock exhaust to be worth?

Ta very much,

Matt

Crikey, that's less than £70!

Well done in passing your maths exam ;)

Sadly, a stock system is almost wortheless even though they are £400+ new. Better off keeping it for MOTs and suchlike

Matt

Feck all. Why do you think people rip them off as soon as they buy an SV and install something that looks/sounds nice

Buggrit. Well my friend saying "it'll fetch a few hundred on that binterweb" is getting a punch in the idiocy and false-hope sector.
I was amazed when the Suzuki guy said "the exhaust alone is over 400" or something around that region. How silly! I should get them to spend the money on something worthwhile!
I will probably keep it then as you suggest Mr. Acrobatic Penguin!

It might be worthwhile suggesting to the insurers that you will happily accept an after market exhaust system. Saves them the cost of a new full system. You the cost of an after market, win win.

Akrapovic, The best you can buy but still cheaper than a stock one.
