That garage looks FAR too clean and tidy. Im not showing you ours! :S

Re: Rebuild!!!
Bit of T-cut and gaffa tape and you'll be running in no time!
I would suggest just hitting it with a hammer to get it running... ... but it kinda looks like that been done to it already. ;) At least it should keep you in the garage and out of trouble for a bit. |
Re: Rebuild!!!
Have you not got the OEM exhaust which you could bolt back on?
Subframes can be brought back to shape with a good bend. |

Re: Rebuild!!!
There are professional metal workers that have never sucessfully straightened a pointy front subframe - they're also rarer than rocking horse poo to buy on the cheap!
Unfortunately, you're looking at £160 for a new OEM one. But console yourself in the fact that it's not the plastic tabs that hold the headlight to the front subframe, the OEM cost of that is £240!! |
Re: Rebuild!!!
The curvy ones are a right git. Northwind managed it I believe by sort of building a jig around the bike in an ingenious fashion.
The rear doesnt have so much stuff to line up, so I'd be tempted to just rag it back to straight with a scaff pole and weld the crack up. |

110quid for the subframe and 120 for the headlight! I've now got about 3 slightly bent curvy front subframes... Druid |
Re: Rebuild!!!
Looking through ebay today there are some cheap full systems on there under £100 for both oem and replacements systems.
Only fix things that will mean the bike is safe and road legal. The service for the most part can be done by you. Also drain your tank of fuel and the fuel systems too. If you want spare parts places like JHs racing could be useful as they build SV's for racing so they could have bits lying about, you never know until you try! Thats what I would do if were you, good luck with it. |
