Hello boys and girls...

Is anyone free to give me a hand putting my back back together? I need to get the gasket on and might need sealant and possibly some filing. I have never done this before and would really apreshiate (yeah i cant spell) a hand from someone who knows whats going on. I have the rest of the week off and really need the bike for Saturday. I dont want you to get your hands dirty, just be a guide!!

Thanks for any help.

From lookign at the other thread you are doing pretty well mate. Don't fret about fitting the gasket. I tend to put a thin layer of grease on both sides so it "sticks" to the mating surfaces which makes it easier to position. Loctite do some good high temp sealent if you aren't confident it's going to seal, but to be honest an OEM gasket should be fine on its own so long as you have cleaned off the mating surfaces properly and not scratched them.

yeah, If the surface was smooth I would be so worried. But there is a small lip, from the chain hitting it, which i think might need filing down or somthing? not sure how it would affect the seel, or if it would affect it at all.
So this is problem, inexperiance, I dont minid doing the job, but dont know if I need to sort the lip out or if its not an issue.
