Re: some help needed please guys
Hello boys and girls...
Is anyone free to give me a hand putting my back back together? I need to get the gasket on and might need sealant and possibly some filing. I have never done this before and would really apreshiate (yeah i cant spell) a hand from someone who knows whats going on. I have the rest of the week off and really need the bike for Saturday. I dont want you to get your hands dirty, just be a guide!! Thanks for any help. |

Unfortunately don't classify myself as "Someone who knows what's going on" -

Re: some help needed please guys
From lookign at the other thread you are doing pretty well mate. Don't fret about fitting the gasket. I tend to put a thin layer of grease on both sides so it "sticks" to the mating surfaces which makes it easier to position. Loctite do some good high temp sealent if you aren't confident it's going to seal, but to be honest an OEM gasket should be fine on its own so long as you have cleaned off the mating surfaces properly and not scratched them.
