re-spray
 

Hi,

Having come off my 08 sv650 sport last week on a diesel spill :( i wondered if anyone on here has had any re-spray work done in the sheffield/south yorkshire area and if they can recommend a garage or dealer to do this?

The only part of the bike, (other than indicator and rear brake) that are damaged are the lower fairing, the upper fairing - with the sv stickers on are fine, but there is a large series of scratches on the the lower fairing on the exhaust side and also a small scratch on the lower fairing on the other side.

The colour is grey and the dealer that fixed the lever and indicator said that they arent aware of any bike specific re-sprayer's in the area but as the scratches are only on a small part of the fairing a car re-sprayer should be able to fix this for not too much.

Has anyone had any re-spray work done by a garage or dealer they could recommend?

hi the colour is thunder grey any car refinisher should be able too do it i use ppg paint and thunder grey is a good match hop[e this helps:cool:

Hi and sorry to hear about your off. Hope you are okay and the only damage to the bike is just cosmetic. I have used Chips Away before, they are National and can come to you and also colour match :cool:. I was recommended them through a friend and got mates rates :D so I am not sure of prices.

Yeah luckily the only damage was to the bike and was only cosmetic, I was only going slow at the time as I was stuck in traffic, Damn that diesel!

These guys are supposed to very good - but have not used them myself.
