howdy from a newb!

Hi all, fancied an sv 650 for abit. turn 22 next week and still havent taken my direct acess!! completed my cbt last november i think as i wanted to pass before the new test but havent got round to it! just wondering how many of you ride the 650s and are above 6'1" and find them comfy because at the mo its an sv or a bandit (preffer the look of the sv though)

cheers.

Ash.

hi ash, i'm 22, 6ft 2 and about 16 stone (hefty)... The sv is properly comfy upto about 3 hours of riding (usually on motorways). I only passed my das last year when I was 21 and a year on, the sv is properly perfect as a beginners bike. Loads of power, sounds amazing with a new end can or full system, cheap and easy to maintain, LOTS of aftermarket bits to trick it up, decent insurance and a wicked forum with lots of knowledge to back up the riding/maintenance experience = 10/10 go for it :D

Hey, welcome to the forum. Can't comment about being 6'2", but I love the SV as a first big bike.

PS: Watch out for Bear!!

I would imagine it's always better to pass your direct access if you can afford it(33bhp on any bike with so much more to offer would be so infuriating i'd imagine).
In the words of my mate who recently passed his"it would be like winning the lottery, then remembering you had'nt bought a ticket".

As for the size thing on the sv,i'm 6,1 & never had any problem when i owned one.hth.
