Not raining here either.

If peeps are not gonna come just cos there might be some rain then you may as well not plan any rideouts. Ever!

On that aspect, I disagree, all the planning can be re-used, just on a different date.

Though I do agree that it's a shame to cancel a rideout due to weather, perhaps unless it's monsoon season. Not many people like riding in very heavy rain.

To be honest I am quite cheesed off, the forecast was abbismal, in fact they still say it is being abbismal but its still dry.

But on the subject of not planning rideouts thats silly. If peeps drop out then they can and thats their choice. I know peeps who organise these do a great deal to sort them out and I'm always grateful and have apologised to Ed myself, but as a commuter I see no need of riding for fun in the rain if I am going to be spending the majority of the next 6 months in the poo.

Remember NW3 ? it started raining the minute we left the ponderosa, and although we all kinda enjoyed it, towards the end, it was hard work, so if Ed thinks its a non starter cos of the weather then fair enough, Im sure he,s doing it for the best possible reasons, theres always tomorrow.

I'm a commuter too (albeit far less distance than I used to). My attitude to rain is basically "Well, my gear is fully waterproof, so long as I stay warm, it's a bonus that it's easier to slide the rear."

Thought not everyone sees the wet stuff the same as I do. :)

For the record, I loved NW3 in the wet!! But that's just me. :)

EDIT: Just thought how my views may come across to others, especially those like Ed that organised the rideout. I wasn't planning on attending MM2, so I suppose the above is a bit of a moot point. :) Ed made the decision that he felt was best as far as I'm aware.
