Back end feels 'light' and wobbly when cornering!
Lads and Laddettes,
I don't know why but today it seemed almost as if my back end was 'lighter' than usual when cornering, and the roads were dry! It's hard to explain but the back wheel didn't seem as planted as I have been used to for the past week or so. I've checked tyre pressures and they are correct to what's specified in the owners manual. Only other thing would be suspension. I've read the manual and notice you can adjust the preload on the rear shock. It's currently on 4 which is the middle but which way should I adjust it to try and remedy my 'light' feeling? I'm thinking put it on 6 or something, but thought I'd ask here! Also, it's new, faulty shock? |

How old is the shock? Millage and age? How worn are the tyres? When is the last time it rained near you? |
Re: Back end feels 'light' and wobbly when cornering!
totally unrelated and nothing to do with your initial question but:
are the k9's available yet? is the white/blue a standard/stock scheme? just wondered :) |

If its new go over it for loose nuts and bolts. Not unheard of for new bikes to have bits falling off.

Re: Back end feels 'light' and wobbly when cornering!
I'm told it did a fair bit of raining yesterday in my area!
Bike is only week and half old, tyres have covered about 580(ish)miles. I had a check by hand over all the obvious nuts and bolts but didn't see any which were properly loose. I'll check with some sockets when I get the chance. I hope this isn't something in my head after my front wheel slip yesterday morning! It's going to be serviced sometime next week, so I'll ask them to have a quick check of the shock just for peace of mind! Quote:
Blue/White is a standard colour, and I was lucky enough to get one from the first batch to arrive in the UK. |

It could be in your head ...
How big are your chicken strips? ... could you actually be getting more confident/used to the bike and found yourself on an unscrubbed part of the tyre?!? |

I'll see what it's like tomorrow morning. Just felt really weird, unless it's because I'm relaxing more it's starting to feel different! |
Re: Back end feels 'light' and wobbly when cornering!
possibly the tyres being colder than usual as the weathers getting colder?
