Eyup londoners, I'm staying at the strand palace tonight - any recommendations of where to go? I'm not used to the heat! It's freezin oop north.

oh and its 5.50 for 300ml of carlsberg - are there any cheap(er) pubs or off licences in the near?

Can't really help with West End boozers, never go in there for a beer 'cos it's too feckin' dear.

went to walkabout round the corner thinking it would be reasonably 'normal' = full of city types who think they're dodging the city type stereotype by going in a 'normal' bar. And as for kangaroo steak burgers, dirty b*stards. Had one pint and left promptly. Text aqa asking where the nearest off licence was and found a tesco up the road near covent garden. All is well. Just gonna watch peepshow s5 on my laptop now :)
