Cheapy Cheap Track day...

Just found this:

http://www.focusedevents.com/news_info.asp?ID=144

£39 quid for Cadwell, and a date change if there is more than a 25 % chance of rain...

Pretty good value...

Sorry I didn't mean it was not good value, just too far away for me to be interested.

No worries - too far for me too (I'm in Cornwall), I just thought I'd post something up that may be of use to other members in that area.

BB.

What you thought he'd come out with something even remotely constructive did you!?!!? :laughat: BB

That sounds like a billy bargain to me ... for £39 who cares how far away it is ... you could get a B&B and cover the fuel for the difference between that and a normal TD ... with the great weather 'bail out' clause too!! 8)

Thats what I thought...just a shame I'll be in another country on holiday, or I'd be tempted...

Actually, maybe I should take a punt that it WILL rain, and book it anyway, safe in the knowledge that it will be re-arranged for a date when I will be back!

That weather website is a very good one aswell. normally very accurate, its the one I use.....normally if its less than 40% it doesnt rain.

As for their policy I also think that is brilliant......

But

The only problem in my eyes.............the track.

I have been there a couple of times at that time of the year and theres a couple of issues...

A) The big one is leaves, from mansfield until your back round at coppice is normally covered in slippery leaves.

B) The same section of the circuit rarely drys out much before 2ish....and even then most of it under the tree's never does.

Just something to think about before thinking its too good to be true.
