Job agencys in London, know any good ones?

Right with everything thats going on I have decided I need to get out there and find me a job. However I haven't been out looking for work for a long time, when I was in TV I got a lot work via word of mouth all informal.

I'm after some good agencys to find work, that will help sort me out in a good job.

I'm after 30-40k/year plus benfits (would like however getting that is altother thing altogther) I'm used to doing long hours.

I have a BA (Hons) degree and a HND in opertional enginering in TV. I'm intelligent and I do learn most things easily (however it takes a bit more sometimes) I can easily adapt I work dam hard.

Any ideas?

What sort of thing are you looking for? Do you want to get back into TV?

if you do go with agencies do not expect to be tret like a human. you are purely bonus to 'em.

ie if you want to change careers look for yourself, if all you want is a change to similar job then go with agencies.

Not an agency, but many of them use www.jobserve.co.uk .....it's very IT centric, but other industries use it too.

There's loads of Sky installer jobs being advertised at the moment. The pay isn't great though.

I can't stress this enough Chris.

I wade through piles of CVs from time to time, and if I found one with the word "agencys" on it, it'd go into the bin and I'd move on to the next.

Sounds harsh, but people in recruitment have the pick of the crop and must do some weeding based on simple criteria to start with.

As for advice, write yourself a generic CV... make it clear, don't be clever, don't write too much. It's about getting information about you and your experience over as simply as possible. Clearly separate out information about you, your education, your experience, your qualifications. Possibly include a small personal statement giving some information on what you’re looking for and where you want to go.

Try these sites they might have something suitable for your line of work

http://www.cv-library.co.uk/cgi-bin/searchjobs.cgi

http://www.jobsite.co.uk/?gclid=CLzNsqTaypYCFQRhswodIFSOzA

As others have said I would definitely spell check your CV. Do you have any other skills or did you want to remain in tv?

If you have any IT/Telecoms/Programming skills you could try the agency I am with http://www.elanit.co.uk/imm/default.aspx?page=315
