Transferring 8mm cine film to DVD
 

Oh mighty and knowledgeable .org...

A bit random I know, but as per title, I want to get some 8mm cine films transferred to DVD for my parents as a Xmas present, so I figured I'd best get my **** in gear to make sure it's done on time.

Has anyone had it done, and can they give me any advice on who / who not to take it to? Also any idea how much I should expect to pay? I think my parents have got about 10 reels of film, so I might have to just pick out the best ones if it's going to get expensive...

I asked in Jessops (first place I could think of) but the bloke in the processing lab didn't exactly instil me with confidence that he would do a good job! :lol:
