I can say it now because we are rectifying it, however the brand new £32 million school we completed 2 months ago has been painted with the wrong paint..

correct colour - wrong type...

yep...

FOC to the client,

It should be water based eggshell, instead we used emulsion. Its a contract letting error, all the documents and spec reflect eggshell.

they havent yet handed me a paint brush...

Nice.....which school was this, been working on quite a few schools over the last year.....just got a load more on the LSC framework as well :cool:

Learning and Skills Council.....and its their framework....to determine which consultants/contractor works on their next batch of work.

We have had about 7 new build colleges thrown our way with a value in excess of £250m off that framework.

Teachers don't care what colour the paint is. It's fitting carpets we object to. After about 8 seconds they are just covered in chewing gum.

Dont think were on that, I think were presently just signed up to this BSF, we have just got Financial close on 3 primaries and the secondaries should be just post christmas.

I wont be here and I am very pleased about that....I have enjoyed building this school, but the way we did it.... we should be ashamed of ourselves.
these teachers care about the colours (we hade 29 hours of meetings surrounding them) , however were ok as there is no carpet, its all LINO, Vinyl & Epoxy

Trust me mate the teachers who are picking the effing paint probably aren't teaching much any more. I'd rather have naughty cells to throw the kids in!!
