Advise please
 
I would like a bit of advise please i have had accident at work and unable to ride my bike for about 2 months

I am going to put it in the garage and is there any things i need to do to it to keep it in good condition

Its been of the road for about a week now and i have noticed that the chain is going a bit rusty in places

For two months.......I wouldnt worry about doing much.

If you have an optimate, then wack it on the bike.......if not dont bother.

take out and start every few days if possible.

and maybe a clean bit of fuel every month.

For two months, just leave it on an Optimate and especially if you have an alarm. As for the chain, give it a good lube with oil, that will help preserve it better than chain lube.

worst thing you could do and would do more harm than good - if you plan on running it, I'd suggest going for a short run of 1/2 hour at least to make sure it's properly warmed through and all the moisture has been burnt off. The fuel will be ok too for 2 months as well.

Optimate is a good idea - if the chain is going rusty, either spray it with some good chain lube as this is formulated to prevent corrosion as one of it's main purposes, or wipe it with some ACF50 or some such.
