Rear Sets

Could someone tell me what the difference is between rear sets and the normal ones that are fitted as standard.

I have very little knowledge on this kind of stuff so just after some info.

Would it be worth upgrading, as i only use the bike on the road but looking to do a few track days next year.

Sorry if i am being a bit thick again :smt115

Re: Rear Sets

both the above are actual points and probably the main ones for the "hobbiests" out there.

However they aren't the main reason for racers fitting them.

rearsets use fixed pegs (as in they don't fold up and aren't rubber coated), this allows the rider to feel threw them and better weight transfer at the cost of comfort.

Another reason is a better engineered shift/brake linkage than a standard setup.

Another use for them on the road is a low level grounding point (crash bung if you will) as the pegs themselves are about £10 a set to replace.

HTH.

Cheers Mark.
