Oxford Heated Grips Won't turn on.
 

Anyone got a solution??

They have that silly protection where if the battery hasn't got enough charge they won't turn on.
Thing is I have started my bike up many a time and rode it and the things still won't turn on.

Just wondering if there is anyway to bypass this feature. My battery is fine and it starts the bike up first time everytime so not quite sure whats going on.

have you tried turning them on 10 mins after bike has been running?

also check the wires

Hey Hovis.

I went out for a good stint and they never came on. I have checked the wires all present and correct.

When I press the on switch the blue light comes on for about a second then goes out. Which I think is because it is reading a low voltage???

yup

mine does that if i try to turn them on straight away........ if i wait a few mins all is fine and dandy

have you checked your battery and charging system?

I haven't multi-metered it yet. Think ill do that later today to check all is fine.
Have you put your straight onto the battery Hovis?
I have wired mine so thay they will only come on with the ignition on. Should still be 12V tho surely. Plus when they first went on they worked fine from that feed.

Might try straight to battery in case the ingition way is losing a volt.

I only ever hear bad things about oxford heated grips. Its put me orf em.
