Why is it that I've been as sick as a dog since having a 'flu jab last week?

Now am on antibiotics for a chest infection.

I guess different people react differently to the jab, perhaps you were already carrying the virus and once you had the flu jab it developed into the flu? I had the flu jab last year and didnt develop it (or get flu like symptoms), but i refused it this year.

My dad has the flu jab every year, and every year he ends up with a cold. Better a cold than him being seriously ill. Having retropiritonealfibrosis makes him extremely susceptible to anything nasty.

funnily enough my dads just rung and told me the specialist has given him some good results this time:cool:

he has one kidney functioning, but only a very small amount of function at that. Hes been like it for years with treatment he keeps going
Hes superman is my dad :-)

Great to know as I first read this thread having just got back from Occy Health to get mine.....
