FAO Neil Young fans...
Just reading a bit about Neil Young and have decided to give him a listen. Before i go on the hunt for some albums can anyone suggest me some.
- What are your favourites? Why? - What moods/emotions/pace do they have? i.e. calm / heavy rock/ country etc Cheers all. |
Re: FAO Neil Young fans...
just get his greatest hits album. I have that here but Im Indoors probably has his back catalogue.
I like Cinnamon Girl because it spawned a version by Type O Negative Like A hurricane because it was covered by the Mission Rockin in the Free world, as I remember him accompanying Pearl Jam on the MTV awards years ago and singing it live |

Re: FAO Neil Young fans...
saw an interview with him once.
Brill. He played what he wanted when he wanted ,and sod the publicity. |
Re: FAO Neil Young fans...
Saw him at Reading one year and his backing band was Pearl Jam. Class act. Still love hearing Rockin In The Free World.
Mirrorball was the album he had out at the time? More rocky than his older stuff. |
Re: FAO Neil Young fans...
Love Neil Young, and Crosby Stills Nash and Young too - takes me back to my yoof

Re: FAO Neil Young fans...
Harvest is his most classic album. It's mellow hippyish rock. If you only every buy one Neil Young album, then make this the one.
For loud grungy rock, I'd recommend the double live album 'Weld'. |
