Will standard can fit?

Bikes gonna be due for an MOT in a month and im probably goin to need to quieten it down a bit to get it thru. Was just wondering if a standard can would fit str8 onto my micron race system? Is the pipe diameter the same? Also would this deafen the growl enough to sail thru wi no probs?

The guy i bought it off said the bike would pass MOT as is.The can does not have any markings saying 'not road legal' or such like. Would be a bonus if i could leave it on,save me a few quid on buying the standard jobbie.

Easier to get a dB killer if it is a problem.

Tried one on mine, it does quieten the noise down quite considerably. Didn't have cahnce to put it through an MOT tho, I wrote the bike off a month before it was due. I would think it should sail through TBH.
One of these should suffice http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EXHAUST-BAFFLE-RACE-CAN-db-KILLER_W0QQitemZ110323256135QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item110323256135&_trksid=p32 86.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1299|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A 1|240%3A1318 & for £10 it's a bargain.
I did put a "How to" on here http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=87367, dead easy & seemed to work :)

+1
They really do work. I've got a viper can that didn't have a baffle. Was a bit noisy @ 7:00 am going to work, so bought one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DB-KILLER-BAFF...1%7C240%3A1318

Really nice bloke, welding is a bit messy on them but would highly recommend him.
HTH.

Why don't you pop down to the MOT place and just ask them what they think. Let them hear it as it is and see what they say.

You'll probably find that it's fine as it is - mine passed with the fuel on with the straight through baffle - tester never said a word and it's not what I'd call very legally quiet, although I did have the smaller baffle in my pocket just in case ...
