Nurses and teachers?
This is where your pay rise went:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle5489556.ece Your bosses £200k+ salary wasn't enough, so they've been topping it up with £40k 'living' expenses. They should run for parliament with that kind of scam going on ;) |
Re: Nurses and teachers?
Whoa, a lower level of scum than dole-dossers...

Re: Nurses and teachers?
Thats an absolute scandal. These wasters on high salaries to begin with are then given perks amounting to double the average wage.A bit like "cash for honours",so obviously corrupt, but who will dare to find so in Orwellian Britain?

Re: Nurses and teachers?
And they wonder why we're in so much debt.
There seems to be only a few of us, paying huge taxes in to a system to keep millions of Government Employees in a job. Borrowing loads of cash got us in to this problem. I don't see how borrowing more is going to be a solution too. |
Re: Nurses and teachers?
Got to admit it's scandelous but then again, if you were in that position and someone told you a way of gaining and additional £20k+ a year, would you turn it down?
Everyone milks the system, it's human nature. |
Re: Nurses and teachers?
Smells of corruption though when they are given second home allowances when they already lived in London? And they are senior people who probably influence their own remuneration policies.
Corruption. |
Re: Nurses and teachers?
To be fair, money wasting is common place in our local governments. Ed might agree on this, but Telford & Wrekin council has a weird fixation on spending all their extra road tax money on traffic lights. There are millions of puffin crossings which i have never seen anybody use, right after sets of traffic lights which periodically stop traffic anyway.
Saving money in local councils would be **** easy, i want the job! |

Yeh this place is known for its ****e roads.
I think it's something to do with how much money they allocate to certain things? Road improvments could say get 2million, and if they don't spend it it gets added to next years budget, so they might aswell spend it. Tw@s. :p |
Re: Nurses and teachers?
That's appalling (for which read "why aren't I getting any of that action?"). It all started in the nineties when they wanted to fill top public service jobs with people from the private sector who had experience of outsourcing and cost-cutting. Ironically, becasue of the higher salaries commanded by such individuals in the open market, the civil service had to match the offer, so that's how we ended up where we are. And aren;t they worth every penny...
