An apology
For the last god knows how long I have extoled the virtues of Daytona heated grips, saying they are warm and reliable and encouraging everyone to buy them over Oxford's varieties.
Well, it seems that for some unknown reason, Daytonas are not the ones to buy any more. I was speaking to a couple of bike dealers over the last two days, both of whom stock and fit Daytona and Oxford heated grips. It would appear that while the Daytonas are still the most reliable, they are no longer very warm, in fact one dealer said the ones they are getting at the moment wouldn't make your hands particularly hot on a sunny day. I'm sorry, but it appears things have changed and I've been recommending what has now become a duff product. |
Re: An apology
Shame on you:)

Re: An apology
There was a post here recently about someone having problems with their Daytonas I think.
It's not your fault, from what I've seen you are a helpful and informative chap. |
Re: An apology
Got an alternative recommendation?

Re: An apology
Try symtec heated grips, i've got them and they are wicked. Theyre not actually grips, they come as elements and you put your own grips over the top.
http://www.windingroads.co.uk/catalo...c1fca5b2fc8f48 This is the website they're on. For the 42 quid i paid they're a steal. 3 settings, Hi, low and off, nice black toggle switch that looks like it was supposed to be there on the dash and a very easy install. I would recommend them. |
