i just stick mine on the washing line all day in the breeze work's for me bit dubious of washing them in case they go all outta shape and the lining goes off.

My shoei lining comes half out........but I just stuck it in the bath and used some minty hair shampoo after asking for advice off here.

Smells minty fresh now and the padding has padded out abit more again so it fits nicer like it did when it was new.

Mine all come out
I hand wash mine in the sink. A very very small amount of washing powder. Then rinse with a very very small drop of conditioner to keep them smelling nice.
Drip dry on the washing line. Or indeed pegged to something indoors.
Never had a problem ruining them

i hand wash mine, but i'm sure it would be fine on a cool (30 degrees) delicate cycle in a machine.
Note - i do mean the lining only and not the whole helmet!!

The cheek pads will probably fall out eventually :) But no, not removable. Doesn't matter, it's still easy to do with the pads in.

Basically, get some baby shampoo, and a shower attachment (and cold or likewarm water). Soak helmet, rub in baby shampoo, build up lather, rinse out thoroughly, repeat. Keep doing this til you're bored or it seems clean, then give it a really serious rinsing out- I used the simple method of doing it til no more bubbles came out, then doing it again for another 5 minutes. It's easier to remove any parts you can.

The bit you have to get right is the drying, otherwise it'll go mouldy and stink. Don't let it sit the normal way up! Water will evaporate and gather in the top of the helmet. Turn it upside down. Some people say not to keep it in a warm place, I kept mine in the cupboard with the water heater though (where I dry out everything, it's like a little kiln) and it came to no harm. They take forever to dry...

Not brain surgery, don't get too worried about it.
