For sale: Cheap ZX-7R P4, '99 model.
As I'm clearing out virtually all my bikes to make way for a new one, I'm offering my ZX-7R for sale.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3233/...c661096e_b.jpg I haven't owned it very long and haven't done a thing to it let alone ridden it, so my description is based purely on what I've seen of it. Firstly it has no MOT and no tax, so will have to taken by trailer or van. I cannot MOT it without putting a few hours work in, hours I don't have to spare hence its sale. It's scruffy, but underneath the scruffy bodywork is a decent sound and fairly low mileage bike. It has a fibreglass fairing because the original owner crashed it enough to break the fairing and was too pikey to buy decent genuine bits - that needs painting or leaving as is for trackdays. The guy I bought it from last used it at Cadwell Park in novice group so I know it runs (which is something I willl check out today). It has almost new chain and sprockets, almost new EBC Prolite discs (surface rust on cast iron rotors), the tyres are good sticky Dunlop 207RRs that really suit 7Rs. There's 21,500 miles on the clock and I believe this to be genuine. The exhaust is a full Hindle system from the engine back, but the can could do with stubbying by 2 inches to get rid of a scuff. I am reliably informed that the front 6 pot calipers were rebuilt just before the last time it was used, they certainly feel fine at the lever. Overall it needs a good tidy up, possibly paint and some little bits sorting like routing the wiring in the fairing properly, but I really don't have the time to do it and I need to pay for a brand new bike in 4 weeks time. I'm selling it as a project for someone, but a project that doesn't come in a load of soggy carboard boxes. Everything is there on the chassis, it just needs making pretty again, or leaving scruffy for trackdays. More photos can be found here half way down the page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/25191903@N05/page2/ Please ask questions, I'll be happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge, whether by pm or in the thread. Offers over 900 quid by pm please (tidier ones are fetching over £2000 on Autotrader with higher mileage) PS. The two little SR250s I have are still for sale at 700 and 500 quid, both with full MOTs and both in very good condition. The Ford Maverick, TS50Xs and SV650S are now sold. It's the big Lozzo clear-out sale, everything must go. |

It'll be interesting to see what people think I'll be buying, I reckon a virtual sweepstake should be in place with the winner being bought drinks at AR09 by the losers. |
