So I need some new ring spanners

doing a bit of work on the lads van at the weekend, I decided my motley collection of ring spanners has seen better days. One or two decent one others I seem to have acquired.

So looking round, nobody seems to make affordable sets any more. Britool seem to cover about 8-19mm similar with snap on. I therefore wonder about these

even then there are some gaps in my requirement that I have amongst my odd balls.

Comments please. Do people rate them, if not what.

As long as they are genuine Teng they should be fine as they carry a lifetime guarantee.

Halfords have a sale on at the mo.

I don't think you'll go far wrong with those assuming they're genuine Teng.

But Halfrauds do not do a set of ring spanners (looking online), just a limited number of ring spanners

8+9, 10+12, 11+13, 15+16, 17+19, 22+24 = £36 for a partial set. Are they even any good. I defiantly need 21,23,26,30 and 32mm.

2 people have said "if they are genuine Teng", is there a problem with fake tools? I mean are there actually people manufacturing tools claiming to be teng, britool, mac, snap on etc. I could understand someone doing it, but i guess the fakes would be spotted in seconds or on the first tight nut.

I was warned of fakes by Sid Squid & Rictus when I got a set of snap on sockets and ratchet on ebay. Mine turned out to be genuine (and quite cheap, cheaper than halfords). But its worth taking into consideration, even more so if its a private seller.

I quite like our teng socket set, the spanners are good IMO. Not snap on but they are quality tools.

Might be worth calling this chap:

0800 161 30 31 ask for Aidan, or Email: Aidan@toolshack.biz

He's posted on the below forum saying he'd give a special discount on Teng stuff - might be worth a shot...

I'm after spanners that can be used like a ratchet but are open ended. The open end has one moving jaw if i remember correctly. Can't for the life of me remember what they're called though

I bought my old man a set of Crescent ratchet spanners from costco wholesalers about 2 years ago and they are still going strong (he's a mechanic so they probably get used every other day) i think for about 30 quid you get 8mm, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19mm.

cheers mick
