BHP

Hi Guys,

Obviously still a newbie, but I have just bought an 09 sv650s (faired, pointy)

and wondered what the specs where BHP etc.. I was recommended the bike and when I saw it and rode it, I wanted it.. but still have no clue re: specs.

I looked on the Suzuki website for specs but there was na when it came to BHP.

~72bhp, depending on how optimistic your dyno is;)

Re: BHP

That was a generous dyno.

Well, your a new rider, so I expect its powerfull enough ;) although for performance figures: about 70 bhp at around 9500 rpm (or is it 9800? its not over 10,000). max torque comes in around 5500 rpm - 6500 rpm (somewhere between those rpm's anyway) and is a healthy 49 lb ft or something

Have fun

If it doesn't feel fast enough I recommend you borrow a 200cc Vespa for a couple of hours, then get back on the SV. I own both and after riding the Vespa the SV is like the Millennium Falcon on warp speed setting.
