Bikesafe police courses?

Anyone done one? I've just booked one in sheffield (would be cool if someone else did too, boycott it sv style lol) but somethings just crossed my mind. My bike is very slightly louder than standard so it might be a bit obvious I have an aftermarket exhaust on - will this be a problem?

p.s The title's supposed to say 'police'

I was on 1 in Aberdeen, there was a guy on an r1 doing it with a yoshi race exhaust, micro indicators, micro no. plate, almost slick tires and a black visor... :)

After 1 years of road riding I found the course worth doing + I got my sv on the front page of the local newspaper :)

Did Bikesafe at The Warren in Bromley last year, was a really good day out, those blokes do know how to ride!! Doing it again in March.
Regarding the exhaust, depends how loud I suppose ;-) , they did look round all the bikes when I did it and I was a little nervous about my number plate but they didn't say anything. I think they were mainly checking that we had some brake pads left so we didn't go up the back of them!!!

Forgot to mention that, if I hadn't seen it, I probably wouldn't believe how you can handle a big beemer

I did one in with N. Wales two years ago, a very good course. I would highly recommend anyone to do a BikeSafe course. On the second day we were paired up by ability and given specifics to work on. Looking in my mirrors and seeing a trail of sparks from a Pan-European scraping his exhausts keeping up and the instructor coming over after and laughing like a drain about it, it's still one of my best biking memories.

The course in N. Wales is free to residents, so seriously considering doing another to brush up and get a sanity check on any bad habits I may have developed.

Ah that's reassuring. I parted with 50 english pound for it and would hate to be sent home for not having a road legal bike or even worse get a ticket!
The exhausts a bit grunty occasionally pops and burbles.

The new BMW's are even better! The engine guard bars make a right shower of sparks! Ask sandy, she'll be on one soon enough!!

Ahhh missed that bit of your post. My bike was parked up in the N. Wales police HQ courtyard with small-ish plate, loud twin Renegade exhausts and smaller indicators. It did roar when started :smt057 nothing was said.

They checked documentation before taking us on the road, so take MOT, insurance and license.

Yeah they're really good IMO.
I did one in London last year (got it free too being under 21)
As long as your bike is safe (brakes and tyres), they should be fine.
Gave me a lot of confidence in the corners and filtering.

I'm 18 and captain crash but sheffield council won't pay for mine :(

Cheers guys, I'll just suck it and see then. The bikes got a legal plate and I'm pretty sure my indis are legal too (despite being smaller).

Can't wait now :D ...I need all the training I can get.
