Probably, cos your likely to not hear Sirens etc.

But spose its the same as loud music in the car.

no, it is not illegal.

However, I find it distracts my concentration so I don't do it. I can still sing to myself (very badly) without the background.

It's fine, only reason I don't is I like to hear the engine and what's around me and for fear of having to have them surgically removed in a crash. best thing would be to get the type that go over your head and sit either side of your ears; cut the plastic off and wedge them next to your ears in your lid - would be much comfier.

I tried it once, found I rode like a to**er.......as soon as a good song came on the throttle was twisted more to the music. Also found that for them to act as ear plugs I needed the music up stupidly loud so was not helping my ears. The sound of a sweet exhaust is more pleasent than listening to Chas n Dave any day!!! lol :-)

As for the legality, never been sure on that one, always wandered what the police would say if you popped your helmet off and 2 earphones dropped out.

Or just ask Stu for some helmet speakers.
