Re: Agrr!!!
I've had very similar repaired with no problems, think it cost about £30.
Had a mate with something similar but not so big, he just screwed it in further, rode 1000 miles and then replaced type |
Re: Agrr!!!
In my albeit limited experience I'd say that was repairable. IIRC as long as its not right at the edge or in the sidewall its OK to repair.
But best bet is to take it to a tyre place and get them to look at it for you. |
Re: Puncture.
I had one today too! Bought a kit and fixed it myself. Needs a new tyre mind you!

Re: Puncture.
I think that should be repairable too,but its worth doing a little calculation. How old is the tyre, and how much would a new one cost? What make is that tyre and is it any good?Would you rather have a new one?

Re: Puncture.
looks plenty of meat on it, £30 as mentioned above sound alot tho for a repair.

Re: Puncture.
I had an almost identical one repaired for 15 quid about a year ago. Done two track days on it since.

Re: Puncture.
I just got one of the air repair kit in a can for emergency use.
Has anyone here ever used a repair kit by the side of the road? HG in Northampton tried to sell a repair kit to me as "its a permanant repair" instead of a "get you home" thing. Anyboby? |
Re: Puncture.
had one plugged similar. £30 although it was done as an emergency was happy. Worked and got another 3k out of the tyre so it was worth it. I'm considering buying spare scrubs as it's cheaper for one than a repair.
