Right click on the message, then select 'view source'.

Had a phoney email that originated from .... Nigeria! Surprise ey ;)

indeed. having a bit of fun tracing spammers? :p
You can use a similar method for tracing hackers. Google 'how to trace a hacker' and in the top results there is a nice walkthrough on a forum.

I wondered if there's a way you can receive their dodgy cheques, and abuse them somehow.
