Sticker to cover 'not for road use'
I was polishing my exhaust last night and thought I'd remove the slightly gay looking Suzuki sticker as shown below.

Clever idea that. If ever caught, probs get into trouble. Ring Suzuki, they may be able to help.

Re: Sticker to cover 'not for road use'
FWIW - I asked a friendly copper about the "Not for Road Use" stamp on my Micron can a few years ago.
His reply was along the lines of - leave it alone & take your chances. The reasoning behind this was that any attempt to cover up or remove the words could result in a fraud charge - the penalties for which are far harsher than those for having a race can on your bike. |
Re: Sticker to cover 'not for road use'
I think its called "trying to pervert the course of justice" getting caught with this sticker would be doing that, although I doubt it would be taken that seriously, but it depends on the police man who catches you. Its only a £30 fine with no points so why bother taking the chance of some thing more serious.

Re: Sticker to cover 'not for road use'
Points taken.
The funny thing is I've had the exhaust on the bike for about 10 months now, in which time its passed its mot, and I've been blissfully ignorant to it. A sticker has got to be much easier than swapping the exhaust back at mot time though! |
Re: Sticker to cover 'not for road use'
alternatively find a mot garage that is hard of hearing. I ask before booking my bike in.
