more bad luck I'm afraid.

Got hit but a BMW this morning, he used the bad knee as a target and he had a good aim.

500yrds from home following a bus on the main road; the BM driver waited for the bus to pass and pulled out of the side road at a fair rate to get in front of the traffic coming the other way, although my speed was less than 20 mph, his speed made the impact a considerable one and sent me an the bike flying (damage is to the sides of my bike and front of his car), as said he hit my leg rather than the bike as the point of impact and my world disolved into one of consuming pain, after the ambulance crew gave me a good deal of morphine I was able to move it and the Xray didn't show any additional damage that they could tell (but to quote the doc, " it's a bit of a mess in there and hard to tell"), dosed up to the eyeballs on morphine at the moment, so pian isn't to bad, hopefully in a few days I'll be able to tell whether it's still working as it did before, they've given me an appointment at the fracture clinic for next week that I can cancel if I don't find any additional problems with it.

The police in this case were great, rather than give me a producer they will call round tomorrow and view my docs to save me making the trip to the local police station, and I've been told an off duty police accident scene investigator saw the whole thing so hopefully he'll be a witness.

So basically when this morphine wears off it's going to be a few bad days, but hopefully nothing more, so imobile for a while.

The Bike, I got a friend to push it round to my house, and according to him its ****ing water out of the side of the engine, bars well twisted up, indicator, lever and horn, I haven't seen it myself but sounds well mangled, not rideable.

so I have a busted T'bird and a dismantled 404, although I have all the parts to fix the 404 I can't walk to do it, so bikeless for now, obviouslty it's not a worry for now, but once I get some use out of this leg again, it will be.

And that's about all for now, trying to rest while the morphine is still in my system, but it's aloosing battle with the increasing pain at the moment.

Cheers Mark.

Oh Mark:(

When is your luck going to change from bad to good? It's about time you had a change.

Hope you don't feel too rotten over the next few days.

Bl**dy Hell! Sounds like it could have been a lot worse, but that's no consolation when you're lying there in agony. Hopefully your knee isn't damaged anymore.
Hope you make a speedy recovery.
