FI Light flashes - intermittent starting trouble.
Hi All,
Don't know if anyone might be able to help? I have an intermittent problem with my K3's fuel injection. Occasionally (perhaps every other day) when I switch the ignition on, the FI warning light flashes and he won't start. If I switch the ignition off then back on again, 4 times out of 5 the FI warning light is no longer on and he starts fine. Anyone got any idea's what my cause it (I'm a techie noob, but even I know its a problem with the fuel injection, before any one says anything!!!!) Oh, if it helps, he's in Candy Blue ;) Cheers, Mark. |

follow that link to put your bike into dealer mode then see if theres any fault codes showing HTH |
Re: K3 pointy FI issue
Perhaps before doing that a check of the multi plugs would be in order, as they have been known to corrode on the pins giving intermittent problems, although a lovely green it's just not good for conductivity.

However after flicking the kill switch on and off a few times I haven't had the problem again. In my case, either turning the ignition off then on again or flicking the kill switch off then on again, would cure the flashing FI light and the fuel pump motor would once again whirr. |
