Helmet & Leathers Cover

Am getting quotes at the moment and Hastings has free helmet and leathers cover, up to £750, but isn't the cheapest. Just wondering if anybody has separate helmet and leathers cover and how much it cost, who with, to see how much this is worth?

I have seperate Helmet and gear cover with Carol Nash. Can't remember who it was underwritten by, but it cost me 50 quid for the year with 50 quid excess. Can't remember how much its worth.

In my recent off I claimed off my household insurance for helmet, visor, boots and jacket.
After excess, £50, I received about £650.

Does it affect your other policies if you claim off it? If not when it's new lid time might be worth claiming ...

think I'll be taking that mofo out in a year or so then

Do you know if it stipulates you can only claim if you've been involved in a collision with another vehicle, or can it be any circumstance?

When i asked on the phone, "So if i come off and its my fault, im covered?" He say yes.

This was with Hastings, and although its a free offer at the moment, he also mentioned it was £18 normally. That may not be the exact amount, but it was certainly around that figure.

Nope, you can claim in any circumstance. Remember I fell off myself. They send you forms, ask you to fill it in, also its handy to have reciepts for your gear too, makes things nice and easy. Otherwise they give you what they think your gear is worth after they take off what they call 'wear and tear', and how old it all may be.
Fairly simples stuff really
