Facebook Idiots
 

I have an ex colleague who is actually a nice guy, and I'm happy for him to be a friend on FB, and I wouldn't want to upset him. But he's one of these who can post to FB as easily as writing a text from his mobile phone and upload photos from his mobile phone camera.

He posts b0ll0x all day long and I check facebook in the evening and I have to scroll down two pages telling me everything from what red lights he stopped at on the way to work, to what time he last farted, to a picture of the sandwich he had for lunch, before I can see any relevant news from other friends and family.

I've posted replies to the effect of "FFS will you stop it!", and he apologises and stops....until the next day! Anyway can I set FB not to show his updates, without removing him as a friend? If so can anybody tell me where to look?

I think you could before they changed it but not sure how now....tell him to get that Twitter thing, sounds more up his street.

You can, but it's a bit long winded really.

On the left, you have "News Feed" and another couple of options. Down below there, there's a link to "create" - click that & follow the prompts.

Basically, that will create a news filter on facebook, which will only contain the people you want.

I have a "family" filter, along with a ".Org" filter and a couple of others. Then you just click on the filter you want, and heypresto, everything is erm, filtered. :)

Problem with facebook is that half a trillion people forget about phone numbers, addresses, e-mail etc and use it as the only way to get in touch.. so some people can't really delete it. It'd be like burning your phonebook!

That's my excuse anyway. I just secretly love that pick your favourite five thing. Wheeeeee.

idk why people put their phone numbers on there,

Ralph when they put a status, put your mouse over it and a "Hide" tab comes up, just whack that button.

Police agree with Soulkiss - shocker

Today, a serving member of the "Boyzzz in Blue" was heard to agree with a sentiment expressed by SV650.org member Soulkiss.
The officer's employer responded by launching an internal investigation and reffering the matter to the IPCC.
