Wednesday run

Well folks I am planning to ride the proposed route of this years massacre on Wednesday as it has the best forecast weather this week.:smt102

This is a fact finding trip. so some things to consider before joining me.

1. I will be breaking the route into sections recording mileages and times for each section.:riding:

2. To this end I wiil be strictly adhearing to speed limits to give as accurate a guestimate as possible.:smt070

3. I will be looking for and recording stop / regroup points, fuel stops (including opening times) any ambiguous junctions road signs etc.:laughat:

4. I intend to stop at the proposed lunch stop to check its access and suitability.:thumright:

5. This is a circa 200mile route plus travel to and from so approx 350 miles total so you can expect 7+ hours in the saddle and a 10+ hour day.:smt006

6. There will be limited oportunity to cut out early(other than going back the way you came) so it would be difficult to join in for a wee while and leave:confused:

7. I am not posting the route as it is not finalised, also your discression as to the route would be appreciated, ie if you come, you can't tell anyone where we went.

That is all. If you fancy it let me know, doesn't have to be wednesday, just looks to be the best weather, but can move it to suit.

Was going to do this alone but two heads are always better than one and company is always good.

Technically should start and finish at Tyndrum, but no real reason I couldnt pick another point on the route closer to you and go from there, If you really fancy this let me know and i'll have a look, but cant express strongly enough this will be a very long day.

Well i know where i stay and i know where you stay, so i'll wait and see who (if anybody) else wants to go and try to pick somewhere equidistant that is close to a point of the route.

Watch this space:rolleyes:
