SV650S help

Hi all,

I'm not a mechanical genius so need some help, I have what looks like a reservoir behind my radiator and fan it's clear with 2 notches on and liquid inside, I can't find it in the manual so does anyone know what it is or what it's for?

Oh it's on a 2001 SV650S so not pointy.

Thank you

That's the coolant reservoir. Make sure the coolant level is between the two notches when the bike is level and upright. Check the manual for how to check the coolant and it should explain all.

Re: SV650S help

The bottle isn't in a position that receives much direct light, and it's kidney shaped meaning you can't just stare down the tube and see how much is in there. I've shone a little torch in the top and wiggled the bike to quite good effect in the past to see where the level is.
