What sort of messing about are you talking about.Cant i just stick a k and n filter in it.would it cause a lot of bother?

Re: Air filter

K and N would cause the messing around!

With an OEM filter it will just act same as it did before without a rejet/remap possibly required.

K+N might make a "road" filter that flows the same, so it's just like an OEM but washable. Maybe worth a go if you do lots of miles.

I wouldnt really do a lot of miles,so ill just go for the origanal.Btw im going to get the micron cut down a bit, will this cause any problems?

Nah not really, lose a little bit of midrange, but I don't expect this would be noticeable on the stock pipework.

unless you plan on doing megaaaaa miles and keeping the bike for years and years stick to OEM..

the K&N one is £44 the stock one is £16 so you would need to do 25000 miles before you see any cash back on the K&N plus you still need filter oil and petrol to clean the K&N so there is another £10...

the stock filter is good enough and will do up to about 10000 miles before needing changed...

you are not going to 'feel the difference' out of a K&N or like unless you have a rolling road session... and even then i doubt you would notice the gains...
