Hey you lovely guys and girls of the mighty Org

Had a message from Soul kiss and realised that it had been nearly a thousand years (give or take a few months!) since I last posted.

Time for an update.

Bought me a CG125 from E-bay and named him Henry. He has impeccable manners and is a joy to ride. My confidence has improved no end and with my lovely partner Carol being an instructor I have had some first rate training (and some second rate training when I got lost and cried and then she had to come find me!). Carol has now told me that I should book my test, but the old nerves are still there and I am afraid again. Not sure why, because riding feels instinctive now and I have even used my horn in anger at a useless car driver who nearly ran me over by changing lanes with out looking. \\:D/

Silvie my SV is still gorgeous and recently had to be submitted for her MOT. A great place in Weston called Black Cats did her for me and even complimented her on how good her brakes work. I phoned them on a busy Friday morning and they had her done by three that afternoon. Carol picked her up and we had a shiny new MOT certificate for another year.

One plan we had failed, we were going to leave her in storage over the winter, but that plan fell appart when we missed her terribly and just had to take her put to play. Even Carol (who loves Kwakas) says that Silvie is wonderful bike.

Bad news came when I was sent to the Bristol pain clinic to try and stop my chronic pain spasms. They wanted to dope me up on yet more drugs, but after three years of neuopathic inhibitors I just wanted to be normal again. I knew that more drugs would mean no bike riding so have decided that pain does not exist and motorbikes rock. It seems to work and my pain levels have definately dropped. Mind over matter once again comes to my rescue. :smt106

Carol and I have also just had the patter of tiny feet enter our lives. We were addopted by Lilly, a tortoiseshell tabby stray cat, who moved into our flat in February, she was with bun in oven and dropped five addorable kittens on us. I helped her with her birth because she had some difficulties, but all five are healthy and currently climbing on my laptop here. :D

I am still looking for that top job, but for now I am happy to work part time in the bike shop fixing and building mountain bikes and the occasional Road bike.

Oh my sister got engaged and is getting married next year to a gorgeous hunk. Can't persuade her that she needs a motorbike, but she is happy for us to turn up in leathers to her wedding. \\:D/

Oh and just for Star Trek Steve if he is still about, Carol talked me into seeing the new Movie. She cried at the beginning and I lusted after Bones (Karl Urban). We took Silvie up to Bristol for the film and discovered that Warp factor one really does exist, just got to clean the dead bugs off the fairing now. :monkey: On the way there, Carol got Silvie up on her Back wheel as we shot away from the lights with some poor guy on a Chop trying to filter and keep up. Damn, those SV650S' are fine bikes. :notworthy:

Anyway, that is me, not much to say, but used a lot of words to do it. Thanks to every one who got in touch to ask how I am. You are a lovely bunch of folks, especially Ed, Lou and Foxy. As for SoulKiss, well he is just a legend.

Right, off to drown some kittens...:D

Hey janey glad you're still around andyou girls are getting out and enjoying the SV.
Go do your tst, you'll laugh afterwards when its finished and wonder why you thought it would be so scary.

And those kittens are so sweet. I sometimes wish i could shrink to the size of a kitten and cuddle up with them when they're all like that.
