And the only decent video I managed to take was everyone leaving the Castle today. Listen out for the backfire at the end.

Boarding the good ship MV Coruisk....and a chance to dry out. This wouldn't be the one and only time for the poor soggy bikers amongst us. I did often wish I was on a bike, but this trip made me appreciate comfy seats, aircon and heaters more than ever.

http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/561/lgim0034.jpg

....and not forgetting CombatFred.

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/8282/lgim0035.jpg

The view from the Bealach Na Ba, the mountain pass through the glen to Applecross is stunning, breathtaking, awe-inspiring even. See the awe on the faces of the orgers in this photo....just beyond the mist.

http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/6489/lgim0036y.jpg

Moments after this shot, we crested a bend to see a few SV.orgers parked up, off their bikes, head in hands. The gut feeling that yet another bit of bad luck had come our way was dispelled when a lone GPZ'er was seen crawling out the ditch, clutching his arm and looking at his wrecked bike just off the verge. A lucky escape for him. We all stop to check he was ok, but the bike not so.

One last pic before we parted company at E.D.C. The locals went west, the rest went south. PunyXpress (naked curvy) nearly went the wrong way, back to Skye with Johnny....did you think we didn't notice! :)

Would you believe that 40miles, and less than an hour up the road from the pic above, a triumphant Johnny and me do the customary lunge at each other in the scorching sun at my place. Go figure!

B@st@rds!

So you saved the best weather until we headed home:smt068

Can't view the video on this steam powered PC. And you've beaten Smeggons to it:razz:

Shame the weather was so pants, as some of the views cannot be described. Only a photo can do it a small amount of justice.

Is that an SV graveyard? Where you just bury one part of your beloved bike before cashing the rest in for scrap? ;)

Great pics, shame about the weather :-(

Nice pictures. As always, dissapointed i couldn't come along, but then you can't make every ride.

I heard you had fun, despite the weather. That video made me laugh with Puny's back fire. :-D

Re: Org'ers Applecross Photogenic Society... (O.A.P.'s?)

Hello!

Quick introduction for those of you who weren't there, I'm Coopz, Haggis's friend
(although I was referred to as "cripple" for much of the weekend!).

I binned my gixxer last August and am still suffering the consequences. :( I only
really came along so that Haggis could still make it after his own misshap the
other week! Bet you didn't know he had his own personal chaufeur!

(I can drive, it's only walking and things like that that I struggle with! We were
both almost in tears watching the bikes disappear off into the distance as we
were stuck in traffic in the car! Have some sympathy for us two invalids!)

Here's some of the pics I took on my phone, I took a few on my camera too
which I will put up if I can find the cable!

CombatFred's Busa (My best pic I think!)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...0176Medium.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...177Small-1.jpg

The photographer (Seggons) has become the subject!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...00179Small.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...182Small-1.jpg

From a different angle, this time also showing the cripple wagon!

Johnny (Wulfie)'s Monster
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...0183Medium.jpg

Carlsberg don't make backpacks, but if they did, they'd look like this! Probably
the coolest backpack in the world!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...0195Medium.jpg

Panoramic view of everyone around the table at Eillandonan. (I know there's already
been one posted but this one's from the other side of the table and is a much bigger
image- click the image for full size, and you'll probably have to click again to zoom the
image out to actual size. It's wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide!)
http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/1417/panoramic.th.jpg

Ready to set off from Eillandonan Castle (where us 3 Skye boys said our goodbyes).
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...201Small-2.jpg

And an hour later when we were back home...

Blinded-by-the-sun lunge!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...00204Small.jpg

It was really good to meet everyone who went along, you guys really are a great bunch!
I'll be back on to say hi soon, so for now I'll just finish off by saying take care and ride safe! :salut:

(You don't want to end up like me with my unfashionable leg-piercings from August till April!)

(They printed my letter in that issue, you might have read it! )
