Flashed in France?

Just got back from the alps and we were flashed multiple times by both front & rear facing cameras. Some were at quite ridiculous speeds, but just couldn't resist racing the TGV.

Would the French police bother pursuing the tickets as we're all on british plates? I heard somewhere that the UK and French police are cooperating more with speeding... don't know whether or not that was true though.

We got a ticket from the Swiss authorities when our driver was speeding in Switzerland in Feb, not sure about France though. I got my picture taken by a front facing camera on one of the French toll roads last month but I'm not worried about it to be honest, I can't see how they'll trace me.

Rear facing cameras I'd imagine will be a different story though I'm afraid.

Yeah that was what I was thinking, but I'm also really paranoid as we were all riding in a group on distinct bikes so I'd imagine it'd be pretty easy for them to but two and two together. Don't know how it works over there though as obviously they wouldn't have our numberplates on the forward facing ones

Dont you just get 90quid fixed fines and no license points?

PS Shame on you for such a misleading thread, and here was me thinking you'd flashed by some nice french women ;)

I'm sure that I read somewhere that offences committed in France can nowdays be punished in the UK.

sit tight and see what happens. I'd imagine it would take a while for them to process you too.

I am guessing that you will receive a ticket at some point. The European countries seem to do a better job at collecting fines that the UK, who basicaly dont bother or certainly not to my understanding.

On my daily commute to Surrey I see so many foreign registered vehicles just sail through the variable speed cameras, some work and some dont but they dont slow down either way and if you brake with them behind, they come right up to you bumper in an attempt to egg you along.....I dont fall for any of that nonsense.

I've been flashed in France many times, never heard a word.

But then any fool can write something on a website, and when was it written? I can tell you the layout of the site has been updated since last time I looked at it so it is being maintained, but does that mean the content is up to date?
