My fairing lower fell off.

Ok so today I went out for a ride. Nothing major, small-ish tank slapper, that's about it... heard nothing of importance....didn't notice anything..

Get home and go down to check on my oil leak and the WHOLE left hand side of the fairing lowers are GONE!!!! GONE I TELL YOU.....

I still have the right hand side, although a bolt is missing. They were done up securely this morning.... Only went to the H-Cafe for a bit..... WTF.

Going out in a sec to go and find them... basically retracing my route in the car.. life's a f'king joy..

Can I claim theft by my insurance as theyre £300 a set? Quite distinctive too, blue with black section, silver S (Suzuki) logo.....

That's the thing.... I'm not sure they did... because I sure as heck didn't notice. If it were to fall off surely someone would have tooted at me?

I honestly..don't know when it went... I didn't even notice till I got home and went to lean under the bike and saw the remaining fairing flapping about in the wind...

I think someone may have stolen it or pulled it off? Strangely the rear mount under the footpeg is there and the bolt is still in?? But the front one is missing (along with the fairing!) Also the forward most bolt on the right was also missing?

tlw : not funny :( :( :( -sniff-

It's all very odd, again am having another look tommorow.. just going to save for a bellypan, I guess... ehhh... :smt013

Claiming for theft would be retarded. At 300 quid, you'll probably pay most of it in excess and then come premium time, your insurance company will bend you over and take you roughly from behind!

I'm not going to claim it, my excess is £500, it's silly... it's just annoying, I pride my bike, and it looks sh*t now...........plus the silicone where i bodged the leaking clutch cover is showing.....

So you did the bolts up without any thread lock, or checking tightness, failed to notice when they fell off and now people can see where you've bodged he clutch cover?

Sounds entirely like bad luck to me.
