Electrical apprenticeship - Help!!!!

A plea for help

My son has just finished school and is wanting to become a sparkie. He applied to college and has got a place on the part time course but needs an apprenticeship with an electrical contarctor otherwise he can't go on the course. He had been told that he would get a place on the full time course if he doesn't get a job this has been pulled from under him and about 14 others as its full!!!!

Anyway do any of you great people know of anyone in the Stockport/Manchester area that could be of help.

Thanks

These people were helpful to a certain degree when I left school. You probably have a local office somewhere.

I presume it's a day release course he has applied for?

You don't need a apprenticeship, or even a job to apply for this in Scotland.

One of the guys in my class works at B&Q 4 days a week, and does his day release course 1 day a week.

Do students get funding in England?

In Scotland, we get all our funding paid for by SAAS.
Unless you have a full time job, then you're employer pays for it.
